Emmanuel Dela Cruz volunteered with New York Cares as an income tax preparer for low income tax preparer of New York City. He has experience preparing federal forms 1040EZ, 1040A, 1040, and related state forms. He interviewed clients to obtain taxable income and deductible expenses. He has experienced with the software TaxSlayer Pro.
Emmanuel gained a deep understanding of financial statements and the financial accounting cycle through his experienced in the Queens College Accounts Payable Department. His experience includes detailed analyses of transaction data and the closing of financial statements. Some of his responsibilities were to update various financial accounts and coordinating with other departments.
Emmanuel is on track to take the CPA exam and expects to graduate in June 2019 with more than 150 credits from Queens College. He is planning to graduate with double majors of Accounting and Information Systems, and Economics. He received his Associate of Science Degree Accounting from LaGuardia Community College with 3.9 GPA
