I began my career in 2010 focusing on federal, state and local tax issues, specializing in providing residency and income allocation-based tax planning to individuals and their businesses located both in the U.S. and abroad. I have assisted more than 1,500 clients on, and in preparation of, contested audit matters before various states and the IRS. I'm a recognized expert in this field, as well as the leading practitioner in various states’ 548-day rule — having helped dozens of expatriates and taxpayers with large liquidity events save collectively over $1 billion in taxes. I now cover a wide range of tax and consulting services for high-net-worth clients and/or their advisers in the hedge fund and private equity sectors, as well as business owners, C-suite executives and family offices. Throughout my career I have been a forerunner in leveraging the use of technology to both defend clients more proficiently, as well as reduce their costs. My team has advanced the use of historic cell site technology and GPS-based monitoring to help clients on everything from statutory residency to multi-state equity allocation.
