I have a master’s degree in accounting from Queens College with a GPA of 3.43. I have also passed all four sections of the CPA exam in the state of NY in March 2016. I am presently working at The Towel Max a linen supply company.
If I have to define myself, I had say, I am a strong individual with a positive mental attitude. I set up goals and then work hard to achieve my goals. One of My primary goals is not to let myself down. When you have decided you won't let yourself down then you don’t disappoint anyone else either by giving your best shot to keep your head high.
Currently I am working as a part-time Accountant at the Towel Max. I supervise day-to-day journal entries performed by the bookkeeper and do the adjusting entries especially related to the Port-Of-Entry. In short, at The Towel Max I am responsible for the accuracy of all the financial transactions and regulation of proper accounting. However the accounting work is not challenging and very basic. I want to work in a company where I can challenge myself and pursue my career in accounting. The very reason why I sat for the CPA exam was to pursue my career as an Auditor or Tax associate in a CPA firm.
I like to play tennis and ping pong. I took tennis at my undergrad school as well.
I need guidance how should I move my career forward from this point? How could I get a job which would lead to a career in accounting? I am willing to do whatever it takes to succeed.
